1966 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible β 427/390 L36 V8, Muncie Four-Speed, Positraction, Dual Tops
A mid-year big-block icon, this 1966 Corvette convertible delivers the looks and the muscle that define the C2 generation. Refinished in factory-correct Rally Red over black vinyl, it comes with both a white soft top and a black vinyl-covered hardtop for year-round enjoyment.
Power comes from the 427ci L36 V8, factory rated at 390 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, fitted with a Holley four-barrel carburetor and a Pertronix electronic ignition conversion. The engine stamping carries the correct IL suffix, and it's paired with a rebuilt Muncie four-speed manual transmission linked to an optional Positraction differential. Side-exit exhaust pipes provide the unmistakable big-block soundtrack.
Highlights include:
17? American Racing Torq Thrust wheels with 2021 Toyo tires
Four-wheel power-assisted disc brakes with 2021 caliper replacement
Power steering, Hurst shifter, and power windows
Domed hood, flip-up headlamps, and Soft Ray tinted glass
AM/FM radio, heater, and 160-mph speedometer with 7k-rpm tachometer
The five-digit odometer shows 71k miles, approximately 500 added under current ownership. Note that evidence of solvent pop is visible on the hood and left quarter panel, along with a scratch on the front fender.
Offered with an owner's manual, service records, spare parts, and a clean title. Big-block C2s with Positraction are increasingly hard to find β contact us today before this one's gone.
