1968 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible 4-Speed

This 1966 Pontiac GTO hardtop coupe is powered by a 389ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission and 10-bolt Safe-T-Track rear end. Finished in black with red pinstripes, it features stacked headlights, a faux hood scoop, GTO badging, and extensive chrome trim.

The car rides on 15-inch Rally II-style wheels with red PMD centers and BFGoodrich Silvertown Radial red-line tires. Power steering and a stabilizer bar are complemented by upgraded front braking components.

Inside, black vinyl bucket seats and a rear bench are accented by woodgrain trim, a center console, Hurst shifter, and concealed Bluetooth audio with Alpine components and a subwoofer in the spare-tire well. Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer, tachometer, and fuel gauge, while the odometer shows 51k miles. The speedometer is noted to be inaccurate at highway speeds.

The replacement 389ci V8 features later 6X cylinder heads, an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, and upgraded ignition components. An oil seep is noted. The differential bearings, fuel pump, and battery have been replaced, with the fuel pump and filter serviced in November 2024.
